Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using TandemBaby ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

TandemBaby is operated by Minifit SIA, registration number 40203516104, registered office Dauguļu iela 61A, Rīga, LV-1058, Latvia. References below to "we", "us", and "TandemBaby" mean Minifit SIA.

2. The service

TandemBaby is an iOS app (with companion Watch app and widgets) that helps parents and other adult caregivers log feeding, sleep, diaper changes, medication, growth measurements, and developmental milestones for an infant. It includes Partner Sync, which lets two paired caregivers share log entries in real time.

The App has a free tier and an optional paid subscription called TandemBaby Pro.

3. Eligibility

To use TandemBaby you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. The App is intended for use by parents, guardians, and other adult caregivers. It is not intended for use by children.

4. Your account

To use Partner Sync and account deletion you must sign in with Sign in with Apple. Signing in creates a single account on our backend keyed to a stable identifier provided by Apple. We do not receive or store passwords because Sign in with Apple does not give them to us.

You are responsible for keeping access to the Apple ID used to sign in. We cannot recover your account if you lose access to your Apple ID.

5. Subscriptions and free trial

TandemBaby Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

  • Plans and price. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription at USD 6.99 per month, or an annual subscription at USD 49.99 per year. Prices may differ by region. Apple displays the exact local price before you complete the purchase.
  • Free trial. First-time subscribers receive a 7-day free trial of TandemBaby Pro. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically to a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged the listed price.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Each renewal charges your Apple ID the then-current price.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in iPhone Settings by tapping your name, then Subscriptions, then TandemBaby. If you cancel during a free trial, the trial ends immediately. If you cancel a paid subscription, you keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period.
  • No in-app cancellation. Apple does not allow apps to cancel subscriptions directly. Cancellation always happens through iPhone Settings or the App Store.

6. Refunds

Refunds for Apple In-App Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page (reportaproblem.apple.com). We do not process refunds directly.

7. Your data

The default behavior of TandemBaby is local-first: your baby's tracking data lives on your iPhone. If you enable Partner Sync, a subset of that data is transmitted to and stored on our servers (Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) so the linked caregiver's device can see it.

You can delete all server-side data at any time from inside the app: Settings, then Danger Zone, then Delete Account and All Data. You can also email us at privacy@tandembaby.com to request the same.

You are responsible for keeping your device backed up. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device loss, damage, theft, or uninstallation of the App.

8. Partner Sync

Partner Sync lets two adult caregivers share baby tracking data in real time. By using Partner Sync you understand and agree that:

  • Anyone who enters your invite code can read and contribute to your shared household. Share the code only with people you trust.
  • Invite codes expire 24 hours after creation and are single-use.
  • Either caregiver can disconnect Partner Sync on their own device at any time from Settings. Disconnecting stops further syncing on that device. It does not by itself delete the data already stored on our servers.
  • To remove your server-side data, use Delete Account and All Data in Settings. This calls our deletion endpoint to remove your account record and your stored events from our servers, then wipes the local copy on your device.
  • Partner Sync needs an internet connection. Sync may be delayed or temporarily unavailable during connectivity issues or server maintenance.

9. Real-time updates and notifications

When the App is open, your partner's logs appear on your timeline in near real time through a secure server connection. The App also shows local notifications on your device (for example, when a sleep timer is running). You can disable notifications at any time in iPhone Settings.

Real-time updates depend on an internet connection. They may be delayed or temporarily unavailable during connectivity issues or server maintenance.

10. Not a medical device

TandemBaby is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is a logging and tracking tool to help you observe patterns in your baby's routine. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your pediatrician or another qualified healthcare provider about your child's health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information shown in the App.

The same disclaimer is shown inside the App in Settings.

Developmental milestones and guidance shown in the App are based on published CDC and WHO sources and represent general ranges. Every baby develops at their own pace.

11. Acceptable use

You agree to use TandemBaby only for its intended purpose: to track and understand the daily routine of a child in your care.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App to transmit or store unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or harmful content via Partner Sync, notes, or any other feature.
  • Use Partner Sync to share access with anyone who is not a legitimate caregiver of the child being tracked.
  • Use the App in any way that violates Apple's App Store Terms or any applicable law.

12. Intellectual property

TandemBaby, including its design, code, icons, illustrations, copy, and content, is owned by Minifit SIA and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of any part of the App without our written permission.

The data you enter remains yours. We do not claim ownership over your baby tracking entries, notes, or photos.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • The App will be free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Partner Sync will be available at all times or that synchronisation will occur without delay.
  • Any specific outcome will result from your use of the App.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Minifit SIA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data stored on your device or on our servers
  • Decisions made based on information shown in the App
  • Interruption or unavailability of the App, Partner Sync, or any third-party service we depend on (including Apple and Supabase)
  • Any health-related outcome

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is capped at the amount you paid us for TandemBaby Pro in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Minifit SIA, its officers, employees, and contractors from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your breach of these Terms.
  • Your misuse of the App.
  • Content you submit, store, or share through the App (including notes, photos, and Partner Sync data).
  • Your violation of any law or third-party right.

This section does not apply to a claim caused by our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and does not override any mandatory consumer protection right that cannot be waived in your jurisdiction.

16. Termination

You can stop using TandemBaby at any time by uninstalling the App. You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time from inside the App.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. If we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable advance notice and make a way for you to export your data.

We may suspend or terminate access for users who breach these Terms or applicable law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Riga, Latvia.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after the change indicates that you accept the updated Terms.
